California Association of Midwives

CAM is a professional organization for all midwives and supporters of midwifery in California. CAM recognizes the diversity of educational backgrounds within the profession of midwifery and supports all midwives regardless of their route of entry into the profession.

Sutter Davis Hospital

Sutter Davis Hospital is one of the few hospitals in the country where women can be assured of a midwife attended birth if that is what their pregnancy is low risk and they desire a midwife. Cesarean section rates at Sutter Davis Hospital are some of the lowest in the nation and breastfeeding rates are some of the highest. Additionally, the hospital’s birthing unit donates useable equipment to the SCP for use in our clinics in Uganda.
