...no electricity, no bed linens for the delivery room, and no laboratory for diagnostic testing. The two nurses are seeing 1200 patients a month and delivering about 4 or 5 babies a week. Despite these hardships they are doing a fantastic job and saving lives every day. When I visited in August this year the Chairman of the village told me that no one had died in Mwanyangiri since the clinic opened when several people a month had been dying. This is your success as well as With Woman’s, for without your help it would not have happened.
While much has been accomplished in the last year and many miracles have happened, there is much more we need to do. The government partially funds the clinic but our portion is over 600 dollars a month. Already the clinic is making a difference in the lives of the people of Mwanyangiri and the surrounding communities. The trip this summer was the first time that I saw the villagers actually doing work, planting crops and keeping up their surroundings. I believe it is because their health has improved and they are no longer weak.
Your donation this season will make the continuing operation of this clinic a reality. In this time of giving we hope that you will open your hearts to the people of Mwanyangiri and give the gift that doesn't break, won’t wear out and that your friends and relatives don’t already have. Where does the money go?
Sally Clinic Fund
The Sally Clinics are the primary goal of the project in Uganda. Your help will save the lives of many mothers and babies. Any amount will help move this project forward. Funds go directly to the building, running, and furnishing of clinics. The need is urgent. Please help keep this project viable.
Self-Sufficiency Project
We believe the best way for us to contribute to good nutrition is to contribute to self-sufficiency - family to family and village to village. To this end, the Sally Stockley Maternity Project has a self-sufficiency component in the villages we serve. Our organization donates money to individuals and groups for micro-finance projects. These projects are facilitated by the Poverty Alleviation Department of the Ugandan government and managed by the local community. The loans are structured so that the recipient repays the loan out of profits. The money is then circulated back into the community to assist others.
Kirabo Primary School Scholarship Fund
For the price of a pizza dinner - $30 dollars - you can help the children of Mwanyangiri by providing such things as daily hot porridge, notebooks, school supplies, uniforms, shoes and other items necessary for a successful education. Primary school children are selected based on need.

We accept donations of usable clothing, textbooks for primary students, and other school materials that might be difficult to obtain in Uganda. We also accept donated services with pleasure!
Volunteer
In Uganda: With Woman periodically provides opportunities for individuals and groups to go to Uganda to volunteer on our projects. Requirements for participation vary. Contact us for information regarding your specific situation.
At Home: We need individuals with unique skills to serve as board members. We're also in need or individuals and groups to help with grant writing, fundraising and publicity. Contact us if you can help.
