Sutter Davis Hospital
Sutter Davis Hospital is one of the few hospitals in the country where women can be assured of a midwife attended birth if that is what they desire. Cesarean section rates are some of the lowest in the nation and breastfeeding rates are some of the highest. Additionally, the hospital’s birthing unit donates expired medications and useable equipment to the SCP for use in our clinics in Uganda.
African Midwife Research Network
AMRN objectives include: To enhance research capabilities among midwives through conducting research and training. To provide opportunity for collaboration in research, to create opportunity for sharing research results. To improve midwifery practice by basing on evidence available. To foster coordination and collaboration among midwives in the Region.

The members of the global White Ribbon Alliance are committed and concerned individuals, international and local NGOs, United Nations agencies, bilateral aid agencies, professional associations, students, doctors, obstetricians, nurses, midwives and many others committed to raising the world's and their community's awareness of safe motherhood and that women do not have to die during pregnancy and childbirth. |
